Make Kony Famous [CHANGE IS POSSIBLE]

There is an invisible war going on... in our world... this very second.
A war lead by Joseph Kony who abducts young children, forces them to kill their parents then turns them into solders and sex slaves. These children do not have a choice, they do not have a voice. With no family, no money, no education their only option is to join Kony's army... or die. This is not a story...
This. Is. Reality.     Can we do something to stop him??     The answer is, yes!
Awareness creates a voice and a voice equals power. The more people who know about Joseph Kony, the more power we have to stop him. Everything you need to know is in this short film below. Please take 29 minutes out of whatever you doing [right now] and watch. The next 29 minutes will be the most important 29 minutes of 2012.

Make Joseph Kony famous. Talk about him. Share with family and friends who he is and how change is possible.

What We Wore + Tid-Bids: Belated Bday Post

Was 17 really 10 years ago?!? Yikes. I really can't complain about the 27 years I've been alive. Every happiness & joys have been precious and each difficult bump has caused such incredible inner growth. I am truly a lucky individual, with so much to be thankful for. I'm anxious to see what adventures I will stumble upon in my 27th year. During my birthday weekend a few friends took me out for a good time.... dinner, dancing, laughs, loud music, good company... it was perfect. Below are a few tid-bits of our evening and what we wore.

Artful Camouflage

This is brilliant! Peruvian artist Cecilia Paredes creates photo performance-based works that allow her to blend into beautiful, complex backgrounds. She acts as both photographer and subject, uses make-up and body paint as her primary medium to disappear. With careful posses and choice to uncover her hair, leaves the viewer with a sense of mystery that haunts each piece. I am truly fascinated.

Lazy Eye

For some reason this song was stuck in my head all day,  Sort of an oldie... but a goodie.

Art of Geometry

I was super stoked when I recently came across street artist, Aakash Nihalani. Unlike most street artists, Nihalani, doesn't incorporate spray paint or chalk but rather uses neon tape and cardboard as his choice of medium. I love the way he uses shapes as a method to create "outside the box". Truly something unique you don't typically see on the street. I'm a fan.
