Gerhard Richter

A popular contemporary artist, Gerhard Richter is known for his wide range of artistic concepts. He simultaneously created abstract and photorealistic painted works, as well as photographs and stained glass. It is rare for someone to purposely undermine the obligation an artist has to maintain a single cohesive style. It's for this reason, I have a high respect and admiration for him as an artist.
