Mambo / Johnny Weissmuller
Before Michael Phelps there was a man named Johnny Weissmuller. Weissmuller was one of the world's best Olympic swimmers. To some it up, he won five Olympic gold metals and one bronze metal, fifty-two United States Championships, and set sixty-seven world records. He never lost a race and retired with an unbeaten amateur record. Below is the deserted venue from the 1924 Olympic Games in Paris, the same pool where Weissmuller took home three Olympic metals. This once beautiful art deco building is being destroyed this year, 2012 (such a shame). Mambo, street artist, decided to created a giant collage/installation to pay tribute to this Olympic champ and the once thriving Olympic pool of that golden era.

Spoken Word: Bradley Hathaway
Bradley Hathaway is a 29 year old spoken word artist now turned folk singer. He dropped out of college to pursue writing full time. Since 2004 he's been touring on and off, published his first book, All the Hits so Far but don't Expect Too Much in 2005. He is well known in the punk rock/indie community and continues to speak-out his poetry at music festivals and christian conventions throughout the United States. Although the videos below doesn't give him justice, I encourage you to check him out.
